Tungsten (Carbide)
Tungsten is one of the transition metals which is very hard, heavy, in steel gray or white color and is found in mines containing wolframite and scheelite. Tungsten sağlam fiziksel yapısı ve alaşım olmayan maddeler arasında yüksek erime sıcaklığı olan önemli bir maddedir. It does not exist in metallic form in the nature.
It is obtained as a by-product during processing of copper and wolfram.
Metallic molybdenum is generally obtained by melting the molybdenum powder obtained by reducing molybdenum oxide or ammonium molybdate with hydrogen. tungsten, abrasives which are used to make abrasion resistant carbides used in the production of hard materials. Current tungsten consumption areas are cutters, knives, drills, circular saws, milling machines and lathes metal processing.
